Blandfords Cottage is a pretty, self-catering, dog friendly, Cotswold holiday cottage near Stroud in Gloucestershire, sleeping up to 10 in four bedrooms. Tucked away up a footpath, in the village of Oakridge Lynch, renowned locally for its maze of footpaths, Blandfords is a pretty Cotswold stone cottage decorated with contemporary flair while still retaining the spirit of its period origins.

Accommodation details

This lovely Cotswold cottage is situated in the heart of the Cotswold hills just a few miles from the ancient market town of Stroud in Gloucestershire.  There are 4 bedrooms sleeping up to 10 people and there is 1 bathroom and 2 shower rooms.

Ground Floor
Entrance opens directly into the open plan sitting room with comfortable seating surrounding a large inglenook fireplace. Steps lead down to the 'Shaker' style kitchen, period in style but equipped with modern appliances: electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and all the kitchenware, crockery and cutlery that are needed for large parties. Double French doors lead from the kitchen to the conservatory/dining room which can seat up to 12 in comfort and which, itself, leads directly on to south facing decking and from there to the garden.

Bedroom 1: Has a twin zip and link beds so suitable for either singles and couples. Ensuite shower room.

Spiral stairs lead up to the first floor where there is:

Bedroom 2: Family bedroom with 2 zip and link beds and a further trundle/single.

Bedroom 3: With 2 zip and link beds and suitable for either singles or a couple. Family shower room.

Bedroom 4: Master bedroom with 2 zip and link beds for a couple or 2 singles and an ensuite bathroom with a bath, loo and basin.

Additional sleeping: Double sofa bed.


Catering.
There are no home delivery services in the area and no take-aways within easy reach. So, for the guests who would like to have a relaxing dinner at home on their first night but do not want the stress of rushing to the supermarket and preparing a meal after a long journey, we will do the cooking for you.  We can supply the meal of your choice and leave it ready for you to finish off and serve up. Because journeys do not always run to schedule, we make sure that the recipes are suitable for reheating.

For a special celebration, or to make your break even more relaxing, why not have our chef prepare dinner for you? She comes with staff to lay the table, serve and clear away the dishes. All you need to do is dress up and enjoy the feast! Choose from our seasonal menu or phone us with any special requests.


Weekly prices are from £1240.00 and weekend prices from £825.00
 
Our prices include full use of the property and the garden for the time of your stay. We supply top quality bed linen and luxury towels, so no need to bring your own unless you are planning a lot of muddy, outdoor activities or you have a dog, in which case it would be prudent  to pack a few extra of your own. Each cottage has full central heating and constant hot water. The cost of the utilities is included in the price and logs are supplied during the appropriate season for the fires. There are books, toys, games and videos for all the family to enjoy.
