Accommodation details

The cottage can accommodate up to 8 people. It is situated very close to the centre of the village and its shops, all of which are within easy walking distance. The Isle of Purbeck's beautiful coastline is just a short drive of five miles away.
 
Dating back to the 18th century, with walls 2 feet thick in places, the cottage was originally a single-storey building, reputedly the home and workshop of the village cobbler. A few years ago it was sympathetically modernised and enlarged.
 
Downstairs the cottage has a dining room for 8, a sitting room with open fireplace, a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher; an extension with a shower/lavatory and parking for two cars - one in the garage and one in front of it.
 
Upstairs: 1 double bedroom, looking towards the Castle; 2 twin bedrooms, bathroom and separate lavatory.
 
Bed linen and towels (not beach towels) are provided. There is a washing machine, and tumble dryer available for use.
 
The cottage has a quiet, peaceful garden with garden furniture from where you can see the Castle. There is a small pond in the garden which has a safety cover.
 
May we point out that smoking is not permitted at the property, nor are pets allowed. 
 
Built when it was, the cottage has one or two low beams where you may need to mind your head. It also has some steps and quite a steep staircase. We mention these to help you decide whether or not the cottage might be suitable for you needs.
 
Prices range from £500-£1100 per week. Changeover day is Friday
